Challenge your brain, body and communication skills!
A knock off from the popular TV Show, Amazing Race, this event will challenge you and your partner physically and mentally. Come and celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of fall with a full day of fun! YES, you CAN do it! You’ll feel so amazing once you finish. Living your Dream Life!
Includes 15-20 mile Bike Ride, a few miles of Running/Walking/Orienteering and various physical and mental challenges you complete with a partner.
About the Amazing Race: You will enter the event with a partner and you must complete all stages of the event and finish together. It’s a fun opportunity for husbands/wives, mothers/daughters, fathers/sons, best friends, co-workers, cousins etc to participate in a fun and active challenge. If you are having a hard time convincing someone, let us know and we’ll try to pair you with another client.
About the Bike Ride: You will ride approximately 15-20 miles together. Teams will be given directions and will also be responsible for navigating the course (which is relatively simple to follow). The ride is relatively flat. Throughout the ride, there will be various fun physical and mental challenges that you and your partner will be asked to complete. This is a fun ‘grass-roots’ event so we won’t be timing your performance and the course is an open-course so you’ll need to watch and obey all traffic signals and road rules. Just have fun! Helmets are required by all riders.
About the Run/Walk/Orienteering: Once you and your partner return from your bike ride, you will be given a map and a set of instructions. This stage will require approximately 2 miles of walking/running/orienteering. |

| Awards & Celebrations: |
Once you’ve completed the event, you’ll be treated to a wonderful BBQ.
Since this is an open-course, we will not be distributing awards. We don't want someone running a red-light and getting hit by a car all for the sake of winning a trophy! |
| What to do to be Prepared: |
Recruit a friend, family member or co-worker. And then workout with us at Northwest Personal Training or Northwest Women's Fitness club, so you can finish strong together! |
| What to Bring: |
• Bring running shoes, bike and helmet and be prepared for cold/rain.
• The event is unsupported so you will be required to bring your own water/snacks for the race.
• Bring a cell phone for safety.
• Change of clothes for after the event |
| Special Instructions: |
Notice: There are no refunds issued for your registration however, we do offer the opportunity to transfer your registration to next year's event or to transfer your registration to another participant on the waiting list. This transfer must happen at least 1 month before the event. After that it gets too crazy and we will be unable to process any transfers. Sorry, you'll be out of luck at that point! Most events don't allow transfers or refunds at all so this is a courtesy we offer to our participants. But please don't ask us to extend it within that one month before the event. If you knew how crazy it gets around here in that final month you would understand the need for us to stay firm to the one month time-line.
If you are transferring your registration to someone else, you must let us know so we can update their contact info and family contacts in the event of an emergency. Anyone running under someone else's name will be disqualified and not eligible for an award/trophy. |
