I’ve been a member at NWWFC for a few years now. I really enjoy the laid-back atmosphere at the gym and the variety of classes available weekly. The social aspects of the club motivate me as well. I have met so many wonderful staff and club members. It’s been great to be able to encourage one another in our personal fitness journeys – That positivity really keeps me going.
In the past, I met with a couple of personal trainers at the gym, but not consistently, and never with a specific goal in mind. When I started training with Jeanette, my only goal was to “get in good enough shape to do whatever activity I wanted.” We started doing interval training with weights and I notice progress after couple of weeks. I felt amazing (tired muscles, but amazing) after each workout, and I noticed how much stronger I was getting each week. That inspired me to keep going. The consistency of working out with Jeanette each week has really been paying off – I feel more confident in myself and I’m even considering working towards a weightlifting competition, and a triathlon, in the future. I love the idea of new possibilities!
I’m grateful that Jeanette is both encouraging but also a “pusher!” (Ha ha) Her confidence in me has helped me see my fitness potential in a new light. Six weeks ago, I could have never imagined I’d deadlift 200 lbs. and bench press more than 130 lbs. I’m excited to keep going!
