I have been able to keep up with a regular exercise program because there is such a variety of training and group fitness options there is always something to accomplish, no matter what my schedule. I have also met some fantastic ladies who are fun to work out with! The trainers always tailor sessions with my goals in mind, and provide encouragement to meet those goals. I appreciate the inspirational emails and being cheered on when I am at a breaking point.
As I meet my goals and see the progress I have made, I am inspired to set new goals with the confidence that I have the facilities and support to meet them. I especially love the boxing team training, it is such a great workout and this group of ladies is a joy to spar with!!
I appreciate the Northwest Women’s Fitness gym for multiple reasons. One of which is the welcoming and open feeling I get when walking in the door. I have been attending Megan’s Saturday AM yoga class since I started with this gym in 2013 – she has been my constant and I am grateful for her.
Alta’s Monday AM boxing team training is my beginning of the week time. Boxing for an hour on Monday morning always makes me feel like I’ve started the week with an accomplishment. Boxing with Lisa, Heidi and Dyanne is a happy, yet challenging hour. I love the camaraderie and the energy that comes from working out and getting stronger together. Alta always has something different planned and it is amazing that receiving the hits is often as challenging as throwing the hits.
I had an ankle injury in 2015 and the Zumba classes that used to bring me joy and were my favorite form of exercise are now no longer available to me. Boxing is a perfect exercise for me. It requires your muscle and heart and it also requires your brain!!
I am appreciative to this lovely gym and all the lovely ladies who make it so perfect. Today I am most appreciative of Lisa, Heidi, Dyanne and Alta. I love Monday mornings with you!

It’s rewarding that our boxing group has been nominated for November Clients of the Month and I’m proud to work out regularly with these strong, smart, and funny women.
NWWF has been a part of my life for many years. It’s a place of acceptance, accountability, and encouragement. Personal/small group training doesn’t get easier because Alta keeps pushing us to reach our goals, and she makes it fun. That’s what keeps me coming back!
NW Women’s Fitness is unlike any other gym I have attended over my 30 year quest for fitness. The nurturing vibe of its all-women staff is the reason I keep coming week after week. During my 2 year hiatus living in NYC all I could think about was trying to recreate that feeling (not even close) and as soon as I moved back I rejoined.
Alta’s team training sessions, Boxing and Strong, and the fabulous women I train with are inspiring and keep me focused on the goals I set for myself. Alta’s upbeat attitude helps me push myself to achieve things I didn’t think I was capable of while being understanding of my limitations. She’s always available to give advice and suggestions that have helped me keep a more well-rounded routine. And although my fitness levels have been a roller coaster most of my life, I always know that the trainers, staff and women of NW Women’s Fitness are there to help and encourage me along the way.
