I’ve been a member here for 13 years. At 63, I feel better and stronger than I have since I was in power lifting competitions and ran for the fun of it. I’m looking forward to retirement, when I will have more time to work out. I’d like to try rock climbing, and swimming across the Columbia is still on my list! –Maggie Nesbitt, Special Ed Teacher
“I am an athlete!’ I could not have said that before…I was never active as a child. I never participated in organized sports or worked out with any consistency. In my early thirties I did some jogging and even ran two marathons but it was a short lived passion and I have not run for the past 15 years. But now I can lift weights, run, bike, and have a better idea how to eat a healthy diet. I won’t win any competitions, go to the Olympics, or be the best. But I am an athlete none the less.” –Lori Gray, Registered Nurse
